Ever looked up at the night sky and thought its wonders were out of reach? Join us for free sidewalk astronomy sessions - spontaneous pop-up events where we bring the Universe a little closer to you.

Whether it’s sunspot watching by day or planet spotting by night, our team sets up telescopes in public spaces around Brussels and at the Royal Observatory of Belgium, inviting everyone to take a look through the eyepiece.

Under our expert guidance, you’ll safely observe the Sun or gaze at the Moon’s craters, planets and their satellites, and star clusters once the sky turns dark.

Where and when?

Sessions always depend on weather and logistics, so they’re announced on short notice via social media.
We head out on clear days and evenings, setting up in parks and squares across Brussels—all easily reachable on foot, by bike, or by public transport.

Cost? Absolutely free. Just stop by!

No experience needed - just a spark of curiosity. Come see what the sky has to offer!
